People who live in the eye of the storm seldom know what awaits them on the edges,
they seldom know about the strength of the storm devouring their world,
they seldom know about the power their chaos conjured-
People who live in the eye of the storm seldom know that they caused it;
They say calm waters breed life, but they forget-
they forget that silent rivers are home to the rot & rotten,
They forget how dread sometimes disguises itself as peace,
and how this dread is the bringer of destruction;
yes- chaos stirs,
but there is life in the stirring-
there is life in the menace,
in the sheer mess of falling;
While the mind craves pauses, the heart knows better-
maybe that is why it rattles a few strings every now & then,
maybe that is why cloudless skies pour sometimes.
